BARN and OFFICE RENTAL INFORMATION

 

 

The Codman Barns are the property of the Town of Lincoln, and are registered on the National Registry of Historic Places. Originally part of the Codman Estates, all the barns are in active use by the Farm.   We encourage you to visit the farm if you haven’t already!

                       Barn 'C' our Events Barn, (35’ x 78’) is a memorable location for many celebrations including birthday parties, corporate events, receptions, weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and anniversary or graduation parties. 

The barn floor will be swept clean and will be free of equipment on the day of your function. No kitchen facilities are available. There are two bathrooms, one is handicapped accessible.   During daytime rentals, the farm store will still be open and the farm will have it’s usually visitors.   After 6:00 pm the farm clears out, and the store is closed.

The farm office is available for small functions and meetings.

 

 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rental Period is May 15th to October 15th for Barn “C”

Office is year round

 

 

Once this application is accepted by CCF, the renter agrees to be bound by the following terms:

 

1. Capacity - Number of persons attending Barn 'C' function: 100 people.

    Maximum attendance for office functions: 20 seated, 30 standing

 

2. RENTAL FEES:

       Barn 'C': Adult Functions                                               Office:  Adult Functions

            $1000.00 for CCF members                                    $75.00 for CCF members & Non-Profit 

$1200.00 for non-CCF members                         $100.00 for non-CCF members

       Barn 'C': Children's Parties & Non-Profit                Office:  Children's Functions

$450.00 for CCF members                                  $60.00 for members & Non-Profit 

$575.00 for non CCF members                           $85.00 for non-members

 

  3. ADDITIONAL FEES:

·        Due to the historical nature of the structure and materials in the barn, Lincoln requires a fire detail during all barn rentals.   Arranging and paying for the detail are the responsibility of the renter.  There is no smoking or open flames allowed on the farm.

·         If alcohol is served, a police detail also needs to arranged for, and paid for, by the renter.                     

                                       

 

4. PAYMENT – A 50% depositis due with your application with the balance is due 2 months before your event.  A $100 administrative fee is charged for any cancellations 2 months prior to your event.  Refunds within the 2 month period are made at the discretion of the farm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. THE PREMISES – Climbing in lofts, hay or on equipment is prohibited. You are welcome to walk around the farm during daytime events.  Children must be supervised. You, your guests and service providers assume all risk in the use of these premises. Exits shall remain free from obstructions at all times. 

 

6. FOOD PREPARATION – All food must be prepared off-site. There are no kitchen facilities.

 

7. CATERERS – Caterers must be licensed and must carry a minimum of $500,000 General Liability Insurance that covers the function, and must file a Certificate of Insurance with Codman Farm.

 

8. LIQUOR – The Town of Lincoln regulates liquor as follows:

·         If liquor is served a bartender with a liquor license to “serve and distribute”.is required

·         The sale of alcohol is prohibited and no alchohol is to be placed on tables for communal consumption.

·         A Lincoln Police Detail is required, to be obtained and paid for by the licensee.  

·         All liquor consumption must end ½ hour before the event ends.                                       

·         The Server needs to have proper liability insurance of no less than $1,000,000.00

·         The server needs to list the Town of Lincoln as “additional insurer” on the                            ‘Certificate of Insurance’

9. TABLES AND CHAIRS – The rental of tables and chairs is the responsibility of the licensee. Delivery times and set-up should be coordinated with CCF. CCF does 6’ and 7’ tables and chairs you are welcome  to use at no charge. Set-up and breakdown are the licensee’s responsibly.

 

10. TRASH – All trash must be taken away by the licensee the day of the event.

 

11. MUSIC – Any music must be played at a volume respective of the neighbors. Music must stop at 10:45 PM.

 

12. LIABILITY – The licensee assumes personal liability for the function. You will be responsible for, and reimburse Codman Farm and/or the Town of Lincoln for any loss, damage or injury to the buildings, their contents, grounds, equipment, or any person, arising out of/or in connection with your use of the premises. You agree to indemnify and hold the Town of Lincoln and CCF harmless from and against any liabilities, damages, claims or expenses(including reasonable attorney’s fees and court coast) arising out of/or in connection with use of the premises or from any violation of the terms of this agreement.

 

13. CANCELLATION – CCF reserves the right to cancel your function at anytime, even when it is in progress, should you or any of your guests violate terms of this agreement. This cancellation may be at CCF’s sole discretion, this decision will be binding and final. In such cases, CCF shall retain all payments and shall not be liable for any charges or forfeited deposits imposed by your caterer, dealer, or other service providers.

 

14. ENDING TIME – All events must end no later than 11:00PM.
